Final Countdown is a sci-fi flick that transports an aircraft carrier back into time to change the course of WW2. The Nimitz rescues survivors from the yacht: prominent U.S. Senator Samuel Chapman (Charles Durning), his aide Laurel Scott (Katharine Ross), her dog Charlie and one of the two downed Zero pilots (Soon-Tek Oh).
In the movie the boat has the bronze fittings, they were later plated with chrome. The bronze is still underneath.
The Vida Mia was blown to smithereens in that movie. Thankfully they used a model boat during the filming.
Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer, Ike Barinholtz
The Vida Mia crew delivered the boat from Oahu to Kauai to film the escape scene in the Nawilili River. Prior to filming, we has to sound the Nawili River. Captain Steve took a dinghy to sound the river and he dropped weights with Coke bottles on top in the areas that were very deep. We drove the Vida Mia up the river during high tide and followed the trail of coke bottles along the river. Captain Steve had to stand in during the filming when one of the stars got sick. You can see the back of his head in the scene.
The White Lotus, 2020

More recently, she was chartered by HBO for the filming of White Lotus. Our captain and crew sailed the boat to Maui and we anchored here in Ma’alaya Bay where it is very windy.
