Departure Times and Length of Cruise
We offer departure times at
9:30 am, 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Cruise times are 90 minutes.
Early morning scatterings offer less ocean traffic and more calm waters. Contact us for custom departure times.
Catering and Bar Service
We offer a brunch and coffee spread by Honolulu Coffee Company or grazing tables by Aloha Culinary Group. Guests also have the option of bringing their own food. Water, juices and sodas are offered with every cruise at no extra charge. Optional bar service. No outside alcoholic beverages permitted.
Traditional Maritime Burial at Sea Ceremony
We offer a traditional maritime service if requested. Guests choose a spot to spread the ashes, circle the area with the boat, signal the horn and then return to land. Kumu or Priest available by request.
Music and Ukulele
Many of our guests ask for Kapono Wong to play ukulele for their ceremony. Guests also have the option of bringing musician on board, having a member of their party play or connecting to our Blue Tooth system to play their own selection of music. Our musicians are available for an additional charge.
The Route and Location
We can host the ceremony anywhere from the Diamond Head Buoy to Barbers Point. While many people choose to go where conditions are most comfortable, we can also accomodate a location that is most memorable for your group if desired.
Sea Urns & Florals
Select a custom sea urn of bamboo or Himalayan sea salt, or a traditional lei'po'o. The Vida Mia Crew can procure these items for you or you are welcome to bring your own. It's an easy ad -on when you check out. Bring your own florals, let our in house designers decorate for you, or select a special arrangement by Ocean Dreamer Florals. Florals are provided on all of our ash scatterings, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Special REQUESTS AND PASSENGER ACCOMmODATIONS
The Vida Mia is conveniently located at the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor in Waikiki.
Access to the vessel is easy. The dock is only steps away from the drop-off point and its a short walking distance from the street to the yacht. We can store strollers and our crew can assist with elderly passengers and small children.
You can hang pictures, collages and bring on special mementos to honor your loved one.
Our crew will allow early boarding to allow you to customize the boat for your service.
